Biography.

I currently work as a freelance sports reporter. I am contributing to the high school coverage at MassLive.com and The Detroit News, in addition to the coverage of Michigan State and Michigan football and basketball programs, when the respective DN beat writers need a hand.

I graduated from Michigan State University's J-School with a Bachelor of Arts in May of 2022.​

I spent three years working at The State News, MSU's independent, award-winning and student run newspaper. I covered a variety of topics there, most recently women's basketball. Other positions I held were covering men's soccer, men's basketball, entertainment and culture, public mental and physical health and women's gymnastics.

​

I spent one semester working with VIM Magazine, another independent and student-run entity of MSU's campus that covers lifestyle, beauty and fashion. I wrote a 1,000+ word research article with the help of two of my co-workers on Obsessive-Compulsive Disorder that was published in the Health & Beauty section of the 2022 spring edition.

 

I ran the social media accounts (Twitter, Facebook and Instagram) for the MSU's chapter of the Association for Women in Sports Media during my senior year. In my first few months, I raised engagement tremendously and learned how to use Adobe Spark to create fun graphics. I was a part of the executive board who received the 2022 Chapter of the Year award.

I previously held the position of sports reporting intern at The Hartford Courant, located in Connecticut's capital city, over the summer of 2021 where I covered their local USL team, WNBA team, community and prep sports events and previewed Travelers Golf Championship and the Tokyo Olympics just before leaving.

I also previously held the position of sports reporting intern at The Cincinnati Enquirer, over the summer of 2022 where I covered their local MLS team, prep sports, the Western & Southern Tennis Open, the LPGA Kroger Queen City Championship presented by P&G and produced two enterprise front-page stories: one on a marathon swimmer setting a record and one on athletes with tattoos.
